UPSIDE DOWN

Day 10: National Poetry Writing Month #NaPoWriMo

Happiness

endless happiness

harboured in holds of hope             hampers of harmony

hampers of…             hampered happiness

heaped under hammer             hindered

happiness         and less happiness         and less

under spotlight             soundless             motionless             while all is in movement

happiness cannot be held             in streaming eyes

happiness should not fall             tear drops are not tender

see them falling             falling             falling

for you             for all             for everyone             for nothing and no-one

happy to have hope

happy             endless happiness

endless happiness             and less             happiness

and less             and…
                                    less visible.

Do you know the song, “Happiness,” from Sondheim’s “Passion?” “There’s just happiness, endless happiness . . .” That’s what I thought of. 🙂

One of my favorite shows from the genius! Maybe that’s where this idea started from! I might have to watch that again tonight- i have the Donna Murphy and Marin Mazzie version on DVD.
It’s funny as I am just on your blog now having a wonderful journey through the shadows and joys and pitfalls of life! But as he said, and we gotta remember; Love is, Love is Love is Love!

Yes, to all of this, Damien–passion and love is love is love is love is love.
I have a CD of Marin Mazzie and her husband, Jason Daniely, and this is one of the songs they sing, but we’ve seen the show, too.
