RUINED

I see a tree,
the ruins of a tree

I see man,
bricks bearing the bones
of what man thought he could be

they are falling

before him
around him
on top of him

I hear him crumbling.

I see a tree,

another tree,

I see many trees,

a host of nature’s possibilities

all rising above the ruins of man
rising above what man has ruined

deuxiemepeau – I like it. The poetry made me think about the symbiotic relationship (or lack there of) between man and his environment, and the sheer force and will of nature to persevere through all that we do to alter it’s course. The photography shows the lasting vibrancy of nature versus the ever decaying grey of man. This one is a real thinker. I appreciate your words and images. Keep it up.
